Dunster and Morton acted on behalf of Berkshire HealthCare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT) in negotiating a lease of part of the University of Reading’s STC (Science and Technology Centre) building in late 2016. This leasehold acquisition enables BHFT to reconfigure its services in the Reading area and to plan for further improvements in the next few years.

Dunster and Morton have been marketing this established public house in an attractive village location both on a freehold and leasehold basis. The property was available with a guide price of £500,000 and a guide rent of £35,000. Following sustained interest, a tenant has been identified and a transaction is now progressing.

We were instructed on behalf of Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to sell the freehold of this property with a guide price of £650,000. Good interest was generated and a successful sale completed in March 2016 at a figure close to the guide price.

Dunster and Morton are instructed on the sale of this site with planning consent for 3 No. 3-storey houses. Following extensive marketing at a guide price of £375,000, a number of bids were received and a sale arranged at a figure in excess of the guide price. There continues to be good demand for small development sites of this type.
Residential Investment - Shinfield Road, Reading
Acting on behalf of the University of Reading, Dunster and Morton marketed this attractive residential investment which produced a total gross rental income of £56,100, based on a guide price of £1,000,000. A number of offers were received with a sale successfully completing at the end of January 2017.

Dunster and Morton marketed the leasehold of this property which is close to Reading town centre and comprised a ground floor retail unit with first floor ancillary area. The premises were available with a guide rent of £32,000 per annum and a new lease was agreed in January 2017 close to this figure.

Peter Redman joined the firm in December 2015 and has been taking an active part in all aspects of the firm. In recent years Peter has worked for the NHS and has extensive knowledge of NHS property-related matters to include GP Practice premises development.
Peter undertakes a wide range of professional work to include both commercial and residential valuations for a variety of purposes. He advises in respect of rent reviews and lease renewals and also in respect of Housing Association valuation issues.
